Maryam is an associate at Beck Redden LLP. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center. Prior to law school, Maryam was a middle school teacher. She is passionate about sharing her deen with her non-Muslim friends and colleagues because she believes that through education, empathy and understanding flourish.

Abdullah Syed
Abdullah is an Investment Associate Attorney at Teacher Retirement System of Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas School of Law. He is dedicated to serving his community and inspiring others to do the same. He is committed to cultivating an environment that not only promotes but also empowers the Texas Muslim legal community. Abdullah envisions a collective whose hearts are filled with faith, equipped with Islamic and legal knowledge, and whose actions are guided by intentions aimed at uplifting their community.

Hicham Chiali
Hicham is a Public Finance and Real Estate Attorney at Coats Rose, P.C. He graduated from Southern Methodist University School of Law. Hicham devotes his career to harmonizing Islamic ethics with contemporary legal practice. He strives to build a robust support system for Muslim attorneys, creating spaces where religious values and professional duties align seamlessly. He envisions a legal landscape where Muslim practitioners lead the charge in advancing fairness, inclusivity, and cross-cultural understanding, all while staying true to their faith.
Farhan Mohiuddin
Farhan is currently an associate at the law firm Shook, Hardy & Bacon. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center. As an attorney guided by faith and compassion, Farhan is eager to join the Muslim Legal Society of Texas and work toward fulfilling its vision of unity, service, and promoting Islamic values amongst Muslim legal professionals. He looks forward to nurturing a community and culture where Muslim lawyers feel equipped and inspired to practice law in a manner that serves both faith and justice.
